Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is the newest PLL spin-off featuring a group of university students and their ridiculously messy drama. These overachieving students are constantly striving for perfection in their cutthroat school environment, but the pressure is too high, the temptations are too strong, and their wicked impulses are too overwhelming to ignore anymore… When a shocking murder suddenly occurs on campus, will the pretty little perfectionists come together in solidarity or will their suspicions turn them against each other?
The Perfectionists begins with Alison DiLaurentis arriving at Beacon Heights University after she accepted a new teaching position at this prestigious school. Joined by her old frenemy Mona, the two of them encounter a group of promising students with hidden scandals and unspeakable secrets that may destroy their futures.
There is Dylan Walker, a talented musician with a sensitive soul; Caitlin Lewis, a scholarly overachiever with a competitive fire; Ava Jalali, a self-made fashion entrepreneur with a scrappy ambition; and Nolan Hotchkiss, a rich playboy with a malicious agenda.
Nolan is the leader of the group and seemingly close with the other three students, but Alison observes there may be a deeper and darker underlying secret in their power dynamics. Nolan clearly pulls all the strings, while the others are just content to follow his lead and do as he says. What kind of power does he have over them?
